About Zombie Ambience, and us, and stuff…

Whether you were just bored one Sunday afternoon or participated in something more official, it doesn’t matter… Go ahead, share your zombie photos…

ZombieAmbience.com is about spreading Zombie Ambience… spreading the undead around the world (one zombie at a time)…

Zombie of the Month

Who will be the top Zombie each month? Well you and your friends get to decide by clicking on the brains below each zombie photo… The more brains, the better! Then we, the owners of Zombie Ambience, get to decide by looking at “the best” and picking out one of our favorites from the top contenders you’ve voted on. In other words, at the end of each month, we’ll take a gander at the top Zombies featured in “the best” and pick one out to be our Zombie Pic of the Month. The one we choose will be featured on the site and will receive a free t-shirt of their choice from our exclusive Zombie Ambience Store, where we’re selling some cool zombie stuff. Don’t expect a $10,000 shopping spree or anything… this is all just for fun with chance for you to be recognized as someone who is doing a good job spreading your undead. So go a-head, submit your zombie photo or video now!!

Zombie Walks and Events

One day, a guy organizing a nice Zombie Fest for charity wrote to us for a link. Well, we wanted to feature it in the coolest way possible, so we decided we needed a calendar of zombie walks and events on the site. *Poof* it was born (well, not exactly that fast). You can submit your own zombie event if you have an upcoming zombie walk, crawl, fest or convention… if it involves zombies, we’ll list it (well, within reason).

Who We Are

Well, that depends on who you ask. Collectively, we’re probably best known as a few weirdos with some interesting hobbies. Photography, film-making, professional wrestling, internet surfing, acting and singing, and actively exploring our surroundings are just a few of them.

We decided to create this blog site since we all like Zombie. Who doesn’t? Matter of fact, we even had aspirations of making a short Zombie film one day, and maybe we still will… but in the meantime we thought it would be fun to see photos of the undead from around the world.

A Quick Message About What will NOT get Approved…

Don’t bother sending us anything pornographic. It’ll never see the light of day and will instantly be deleted. All submissions are approved by a group of real live human beings, so give it a rest in trying to get anything nasty through. We have better things to do, and so do you.

Zombie Photo FAQ

Yes. Your Zombie photo can be digitally enhanced (read: photoshopped). We prefer to see the practical-effects zombies — you know, makeup and liquid latex and lots of fake blood — but you’re welcome to submit your photoshop zombie pics too. Be warned though… if you do a really lousy job with your digital enhancements, you probably won’t get good votes and it’s even possible the photo won’t be approved. No matter which method your choose, practical effects or digital ones, everyone wants to see a half-way decent looking zombie pic.

Yes, the system will automatically resize your photo to 900 pixels wide. If you don’t want to rely on our system auto-resizing your zombie pic, you can resize it yourself. That will make the process of uploading your zombie photo quicker too.

Yes! We encourage you to send along a story, short article and detailed description of your zombie photo! We love to hear about where the photo was taken, why, what’s the story behind it, etc. You’re welcome to include links to your own zombie site or relevant zombie material, but don’t be all spammy about it please.

And most definitely YES… if you buy one of our zombie t-shirts feel free to submit a photo of your wearing one, either in your best undead makeup or not!

Copyrights and Stuff

You retain all your own copyrights on your zombie photos. We only watermark to minimize someone else coming along and swiping them from the site. By submitting your zombie pic or video, you’re granting us non-exclusive rights (blah blah) to display your photo or video here on the site. We won’t use it for anything else. And if we someday decide we like a photo so much we want to use it for something, we’ll contact you and ask first. That’s the right thing to do.
